What are your decision drivers?

When do you know it's OK to "say yes?"

Have you ever realized you had too much on your plate?  You may be feeling physically exhausted and emotionally spent.   On the other end of the spectrum, have you ever thought you were dwelling in a period of indecision?  This may leave you feeling anxious and directionless. 

Often at the root cause of both predicaments is our inability to follow our own rules -- our own decision drivers. 
  • How do you make decisions about what you will do and not do? 
  • How do you select from so many possibilities? 
  • How do you choose a direction to go forward in?
Recently, I took a few minutes to identify and write down my decision drivers. In a way, these are my needs -- the elements of my life that, when met, allow me to feel as if I am leading a purposeful life.  I have a specific direction and I am headed towards my goals.  I also realized why some decisions take me so long to make -- I have eight unique decision drivers to consider!
